The New York Islanders’ (NYI) Men’s and Women’s teams participated in the 2023 US Field Hockey Adult Club Championship (NCC), which took place on the weekend of July 21st at the University of Delaware. Adult field hockey clubs from around the US gathered at the Fred P. Rullo Jr Stadium to compete for the National Club Title. NYI Men’s team automatically qualified for the tournament as the 2022 Men’s Division defending Champions. The NYI women earned their spot in the tournament by winning the North East Field Hockey Association (NEFHA) Women’s Division Regular season.

A great weekend of hard fought and fast paced hockey ended with the NYI Men successfully defending their title as the Men’s Division Champions in competitive battle against North East rival’s, the DC Dragons. The NYI Women also represented the club well, finishing the weekend in third place. A great accomplishment for the ladies who made their first appearance in a national tournament in a very long time!
